Leaf bags, garbage bags and disposable gloves will be provided.

It’s that time one again…

Time to gather together and begin planning our 2022 Rathnelly Day, which will take place on Saturday, June 18th, 2022.

Come out and join the fun as we brainstorm theme, solicit new ideas and call for volunteers. Planning meetings for the 2022 event will be virtual.

Looking forward to seeing all our Rathnelly Day volunteers - old and new!

Join us on Friday December 17 at 6 PM at Hardy’s Corner for the return of the winter solstice party. Organized by Nichole Anderson with the support of RARA, we welcome everyone to join us for Shadowland performances (fire eaters, stilt walkers, etc.), a lantern parade and finally a garage party on Rebellion Lane.

We hope to see you all there. Dress warmly and let’s kick off the holidays together!

Sadly, as a result of the continuing physical distancing and group gathering restrictions mandated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be cancelling our annual general meeting planned for May 27th.

The RARA executive has prepared a 2019-2020 RARA Annual Report which will be delivered to all mailboxes throughout the Republic the week of May 11.

We look forward to bringing everyone together in celebration of our special community when it is once again deemed safe to congregate.

Sadly, as a result of the increasing cases of COVID-19 and recent directions to avoid group gatherings, we will be cancelling our annual community Easter egg hunt which was planned for April 11th.

RARA invites all Rathnellians to Light up the Night with our annual winter solstice party, Wednesday, December 18th at 6pm.  Dress in your warmest sparkle and meet us at Hardy’s Corner to enjoy some good winter cheer with friends and neighbours.  Festivities this year will include special guest artists from Shadowland Theatre, a lantern parade and garage party on Rebellion Lane!

Special thanks to the Mabin School, who are once again sponsoring this special community event.  Their generous donation helps to cover some of the cost of the incredible entertainment we have planned for December 18th.

Our 2nd annual neighbourhood pub night is taking place on March 27th at the Pour House (182 Dupont St). Come out and join your fellow Rathnelly residents as we shuck off our winter coats and enjoy the companionship of great friends and good neighbours. Know a new neighbour? Bring them along!

RARA will provide some tasty nibbles.

Rathnelly Day is set to take place on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 and the next few months will be busy as our neighbour volunteers come together to plan and prepare for the big day.

Want to get involved on this year/s planning efforts? We have a number of roles that are open for 2019 and we’d love to welcome new volunteers.

New to the community? Volunteering for Rathnelly Day is a great way to get to know your neighbours and gain a true appreciation for just how special the Republic is.
